Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga
The Ashtanga Primary Series (yoga chikitsa in Sanskrit, meaning yoga therapy) is said to purify and heal the body. On a physical level the asanas (poses) of the Primary Series build strength and flexibility in the body, loosening tight muscles and realigning and detoxifying the body and nervous system. Vinyasa are flowing sequences of movements that connect each asana with the next.
The series itself is a progression of asana and vinyasa, together with breathing technique, use of bandhas (specific muscle contractions) and drishti (gazing points) and coordinated movement with the breath. Energetically, the practice clears obstacles to free the flow of energy (prana) in the nadis, or energy channels in the body.
Ashtanga Vinyasa 1
Suitable for newer students to Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. Guided classes in the essentials of Ashtanga yoga and the fundamental asanas (poses). Tailored to suit each individual to develop the confidence to progress to the regular primary series classes.
Ashtanga Vinyasa 2
Suitable for those who already have a grounding in Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, led classes in the fundamental and opening primary series asanas (poses).
Ashtanga Vinyasa 3
Suitable for those who want to extend through the primary series asanas (poses) as a continuation of the led classes.
Hatha YogaHatha yoga is the practice of asanas (yoga postures) and pranayama (breathing exercises) which help bring some peace to the mind and body. These steady Hatha classes are lead at a comfortable and mindful pace, allowing you more time and space to connect with your body and breath.
Hatha 1Suitable for newer student. No full inversions are included in these classes. Some preparations for inversions and Level 2 postures may be introduced, with options for Level 1 students to ease the transition from Level 1 to Level 2 classes.
Hatha 2Suitable for experienced student. This class builds on the necessary body stability acquired in Level 1 classes to take on more challenging asanas and sequences. Classes are taught with modifications to allow an easy transition from Level 1 to Level 2. Full inversions may be included in these classes.
YogaJoy is a balanced and mindful fusion of Vinyasa/Hatha yoga, bioenergetic exercises, breath and deep relaxation/meditation.

Yin Yoga with its gentle long-held stretches is the perfect balance to other more energetic types of yoga, sport, or physical activity, and an oasis from the hustle and bustle of modern life. Each 90 minute class is designed to release stress and calm the body and the mind.
Using props to remove muscle tension, Yin Yoga focuses on the deeper tissues of the body - strengthening, stretching and stimulating to encourage more flexibility and freedom of movement while simultaneously releasing deep tension in the body and relaxing the nervous system. Yin Yoga reduces stress while stimulating regeneration and is especially beneficial for the whole spine, lower back, pelvis/hip area and knees.
A Yin Yoga practice can help us really tune in to the messages of our body, due to its calming and introspective nature. The practice reminds us that regular doses of stillness and relaxation are as important to our well-being as getting hot and sweaty walking up the Peak, or cycling, or running, or other forms of strenuous activity.
Yin Yoga helps us become well-acquainted with the body's capabilities and limitations as we continually observe the sensations that arise. Developing a habit of mindful awareness and bringing that to our other physical and sporting activities, or indeed to our daily working lives, means we'll be better able to listen to our body and potentially prevent injury and over-exertion.

As stress is a major contributor to a compromised immune system, this Gentle Yoga class guides students on a path towards greater relaxation, as well as increased energy and strength, in a welcoming, inclusive, comfortable, and nourishing environment
Students will develop greater body awareness as they move through a carefully structured class, designed to take account of people’s differing levels of capability as well as their unique anatomical differences.
A variety of props are used to help students find their appropriate ‘edge’ in the pose, without unnecessary stress and strain, either physically or mentally.
Based on the yoga principle of using the breath to calm the mind and relax the muscles, this class will focus on poses that stretch, strengthen, and tone while releasing stress and tension from joints and muscles
Each class will include mindfulness and visualization techniques to enhance the mind/body connection, and focus and discipline the mind
The slower, gentler pace is easy enough for beginners, and great for everyone who wants (or needs!) to slow down a bit.

Dru* Yoga has its roots in Hatha yoga; a graceful and potent form of yoga based on soft flowing movements, controlled directed breathing, and visualisation.
This style of yoga improves strength and flexibility, creates and improves core stability, and is accessible to anyone and everyone, regardless of age, current levels of mobility or fitness.
Dru –originating from the word dhruva ; the Sanskrit word for ‘Still point’ - is designed to take people into a stress-free space of stillness and peace, building feelings of possibility and positivity, and refreshing and rejuvenating body, mind and spirit. Often referred to as Yoga of the Heart, Dru Yoga aims to help relieve the enormous stresses and strains of modern-day living and has been shown to significantly decrease back pain, increase performance under stress and boost confidence and emotional wellbeing.
Each 90-minute class will comprise gentle activations to warm up the body, a specific Energy Block Release sequence of movement and stretching to enable the free flow of energy through the body, followed by a sequence of postures targeting a particular therapeutic outcome, together with meditation and guided relaxation.
